Code of the West
Live each day with courage.
Take pride in your work.
Always finish what you start.
Do what has to be done.
Be tough, but fair.
When you make a promise, keep it.
Ride for the brand.
Talk less and say more.
Remember that some things aren’t for sale.
Know where to draw the line.
Idaho Values
Idaho values are what make Idaho a great place to live, work or own a business. Idaho’s agricultural and western heritage molded people of faith who believe in hard work, self-responsibility and self-reliance. This is the foundation of strong families that build prosperous communities and good schools. It is the time-tested blueprint for the next generation of successful Idahoans: our kids and grandkids.
Protecting these values means protecting your freedoms, a strong economy, limited government with minimal regulation. Life, liberty and pursuit of happiness means we each have the opportunity to succeed or fail according to our ability, desire, and… maybe a little luck! It doesn’t mean we are entitled to anything except the opportunity.
Every generation wants to leave a better place for their children and grandchildren. Join me in working to protect our Idaho values for the next generation.
